The aquatic system has a volume of over 230,000 liters and is a pond that has an acrylic viewing panel that is 10 meter long by 3 meter high. The depth is over 4 meters.

The system is open to direct sunlight and is housing hundreds of fish from the amazon. There are also a lot of falling leaves that enter the pond from the surrounding forest. As such the algae growth is quite rampant and needs weekly maintenance.

Weekly algae maintenance involves scuba diving and scrubbing manually. By manual scrubbing, I can only finish 25% of the window in 2 hours time. This caused fatigue to my wrists and was causing injury over time. Each weekly maintenance was creating increased pain to my wrist and this was not bearable and sustainable.

With the use of the Fairway SEA underwater scrubber. I could clean the entire 30 square meter panel in 2 to 3 hours time. There is no fatigue to my wrists. The melamine attachment does not create any scratches visible to me from both sides of the acrylic. The battery life is adequate and I have in total four units operating in rotation. The units have now been used for a year with no failure and 100% uptime.
